Information

Assured Learning Australia is providing the opportunity for those currently qualified as a Light Vehicle Technicians to upgrade into the Heavy Commercial Vehicle repair industry through an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. Duration varies depending on workplace arrangements (typically 12–18 months).

 

This course is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostic techniques and electronic management systems. You will be given the opportunity to train on some of the most up to date vehicles on the market, using the latest tools, equipment and computerised diagnostic machines. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will apply your knowledge and practical skills to safely service and repair engines, transmissions, drivelines, steering and suspension systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, air and hydraulic braking systems as well as fuel injection and electrical circuits and systems to name a few.

 

Successful completion leads to the AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology and enable you to continue your career in the industry completing vehicle safety and roadworthy inspections, carrying out servicing, repairs and advanced diagnostic tasks. This course is delivered via block and/or day release training model from our Perth Training Centre with your training plan tailored to your individual and employer needs.
