Service Description

Course overview: This highly practical course is aimed at those who are required to perform a range of tasks relating to the service and repair of automotive air conditioning systems fitted to cars, heavy vehicles, plant and agricultural machinery. Course content: You will become familiar with the components and concepts used in vehicle air conditioning systems. The following is covered during the course: • Recovering, testing and charging vehicle air conditioning systems. • Servicing and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems. • Advanced diagnostic techniques. • Retrofitting and modifying air conditioning and HVAC systems. • New refrigerant - R1234yf Prerequisites: You must hold an Australian recognised automotive trade qualification or be in the third or fourth year of your apprenticeship and hold a trainee refrigerant handling licence from the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC). You cannot attend this course without holding a valid trainee licence, we can guide you through this process. Upon successful completion: You will receive a certificate and academic transcript for: • AUR20218 - Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology.
